Drink plenty of water. Hydration is important for your skin and your overall health. Aim for at least eight glasses of water a day. You can also eat foods that are high in water content, such as fruits and vegetables.

Avoid long or hot showers or baths. These can dry out your skin and wash away its natural oils. Limit your shower or bath time to 10 minutes or less and use warm water instead of hot water. You can also add some oatmeal, baking soda, or oil to your bath water to soothe your skin.
